Mount Lokon last eruption is April 23 2012 at 10:20 pm local time. Previous big eruption is on August 17 2011. The volcano has been unstable for a long time and it's current official status is erupting. The authorities have set a NO-GO radius of 2.5 km around the volcano.

With a landscape that is affected so dramatically by volcanic eruption, only the most adaptable of the species can survive, leading to a number of fantastic and unusual creatures being found only on the islands of Sulawesi.
